Biden regime told Amazon to CENSOR books critical of COVID jabs, government weaponization committee finds

The House Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government has learned that the Biden regime, and specifically former Biden White House Senior Advisor for the Covid response Andy Slavitt, bullied Amazon into censoring books that are critical of Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) “vaccines.”

Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Oh.) relayed the findings on X, explaining that “never-before-released internal emails subpoenaed by [the judiciary committee] reveal that the Biden White House pressured Amazon to censor books that expressed views the White House did not approve of.”

On March 2, 2021, Slavitt “fired off an email demanding to know who he and his White House colleagues could talk to at the company about ‘the high levels of propaganda and misinformation and disinformation of [sic] Amazon?'” Jordan explained about these internal correspondences.

Slavitt’s goal was to convince Amazon to weed out all books that the Biden regime considers to be “propaganda and misinformation.” The White House even “ran keyword searches for controversial topics, such as ‘vaccine,’ and emailed Amazon when it didn’t like how the search results appeared,” Jordan revealed.

(Related: Last year, Amazon banned a book by Leo Hohmann discussing Muslim immigration in U.S. and Europe as being “treacherous” and “violent.”)

When Big Brother colludes with Big Tech to silence free speech

At first, Amazon was apprehensive about Slavitt’s request – but not for ethical or moral reasons. No, Amazon’s primary concern was that censoring these books would be “too visible” to Americans, likely causing an uproar across conservative media.

On March 9, 2021, a week after Slavitt sent the emails to Amazon, the e-commerce monopoly met with Biden regime officials to discuss whether or not to bury the books’ search results or remove the books entirely from the Amazon platform. After “feeling pressure” from Biden officials, Amazon ultimately enabled a “Do Not Promote” function on the titles while considering other ways to keep them invisible to searchers.

“Why was the Biden White House so upset with Amazon?” Jordan asked on X before proceeding to answer his own question. “Because Amazon believed ‘retailers are different than social media communities’ & provided their ‘customers with access to a variety of viewpoints.'”

“For the Biden Admin, letting Americans think for themselves was unacceptable.”

Those who support this kind of censorship are likely to play the “Amazon is a private company and can do whatever it wants” card, despite the fact that all this serves as clear evidence of collusion and corporate fascism between Big Brother and Big Tech.

“This administration is just plain crooked they abuse every power they have, and find ways around them by using private actors and private companies to do the dirty work for them,” someone wrote on X in response to the news.

Another pointed out that Slavitt’s actions on behalf of the Biden regime represent a clear violation of the First Amendment.

“Why isn’t the Constitution cared about or enforced?” asked another.

“I was wondering what was going on, I had to deal with my bank 3 separate times to try and get a book purchased off Amazon by Whitney Webb,” said another about her experience with Amazon’s Slavitt-induced “book burning.”

“It took a lot to get that book.”
